We've just put a new brown trout river online, the Svarta River (not the upper Huso, a different Svarta) in the north-east of Iceland, the Mecca of brown trout fishing in Iceland. The Svarta River offers great fishing for big brown trout in a wilderness environment in the "semi" highlands of Iceland. We have two beats but very limited days on each beat. The top beat we only have 3 days for in the end of June, the 24th - 27th. See trip details here. We can combine with Reykjadalsa River to make a 5 day trip and if you want to add some salmon fishing in the mix we can add 2 days on Blanda River to that.
This is a new river for us but last year we sent some clients there who were very happy with their stay. In 2009 we sent a single angler to the top beat and he was thrilled with his stay. We are a little lacking in photos but we will fix that this season. This is fishing for brown trout enthusiasts. Do you fit that profile?
