After one of the worst winters I can remember in terms of weather it's finally starting to feel like spring and again I look forward to fly fishing in Iceland. Although I'm basing this on just one absolutely stunning day yesterday it is starting to be light at eight in the morning and it's still light out at five in the afternoon. Yesterday the sun was shining and it managed to melt some of the ice on the roads. With just one month to go to the start of the season in Iceland we start our countdown. All over the country locals are buffing their fly lines, filling their boxes with flies and getting ready. My start of the season is an epic 6 day sea trout fishing trip on the south coast of Iceland that I'm guiding. It's going to be a great year!
